Coaches Education

Stop copying systems built for someone else’s athletes.

Most coaching models assume one technical ideal.
Real athletes don’t work that way.

If you’re still applying the same mechanical template to every player, you’re guessing — not coaching.

Motor Preferences™ gives you a framework to understand:

  • Why some athletes adapt instantly
  • Why others fight the same cue for years
  • Why progress breaks down under pressure

This isn’t another certification. It’s a competitive advantage.

Because the next level of coaching isn’t louder instruction : it’s individualization.

Patty Gasso

Head Coach - University of Oklahoma Softball

Motor preferences has been one of the most transformative tools for our program. It's the only system that truly connects the dots for our players, both on and off the field. We're able to think holistically about our athletes and their development, unlocking their full potential in every aspect of the game and beyond.

Scott Emerson

MLB Pitching Coach

The next frontier is understanding a pitcher's motor preferences. Biomechanics is becoming a cookie-cutter term. We have had all the biomechanics data for years and more injuries are happening. Why? Because so many are teaching a number and not the preferences

PATHWAY:

Education recommended up to High School:

  • Pro Sport Level 1 E-course = Level 1

Education recommended for NCAA & professional athletes

  • Sport Specific clinic or Pro Sport Level 1 & 2 = Level 2
  • Sport Specific clinic & Pro Sport Level 1 & 2 = Level 3
  • More than 4 certifications (mix of clinics & e-courses) = Level 4
  • More than 5 certifications (mix of clinics & e-courses) = Level 5
  • More than 6 certifications (mix of clinics & e-courses) = Level Expert

After completing a clinic or e-course, participants receive a “Completed Education Award.”

So, why do we call it that instead of a certification?

1. Our education process is always evolving—completing one level is just the beginning!

2. Just because someone is “certified” in something doesn’t make them qualified.

3. MP takes time to learn, apply, and master—expertise doesn’t happen overnight.
