Understanding the Athlete Before Coaching the Athlete
Instead of focusing on one player or one program, this report highlights what happened across the MPE community during the 2026 season.
Motor Preferences helps coaches understand how athletes naturally move, learn, and perform so they can individualize instruction, training, and communication. The result is a framework that supports better coaching decisions across every level of development.
About St. Laurence
Known for its tradition of excellence, St. Laurence Baseball continually looks for new ways to help athletes reach their potential. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, the staff embraced Motor Preferences as another layer of information to individualize coaching throughout the program.
I only share this because I believe MPE has helped our players get better... As you can see from the data, we far surpassed almost all of our offensive numbers this year and set offensive records in just about every category.
Why We Publish This Report
Every season produces stories worth sharing.
The 2026 Performance Highlight Report brings together team achievements, standout individual performances, and season trends from programs using the Motor Preferences framework.
Our goal is simple: highlight what happened across the MPE community and encourage coaches to think differently about individualized athlete development.
"We appreciate the spirit of serving that the MPE folks embody... We are beyond thrilled to have so many questions answered, mysteries solved and things make sense about the way our athletes prefer to move."
Learn the Framework Behind the Results
The programs featured throughout this report all began with the same goal: better understanding the individual athlete.
The Level 1 Baseball & Softball Course teaches coaches how to apply Motor Preferences to athlete development, strength and conditioning, communication, and skill instruction.
